Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

I've had my Monstera deliciosa for three years now, and I'm finally seeing those characteristic fenestrations on the newer leaves—it's been such a slow burn! I think the turning point was moving it away from the window and accepting that it actually prefers bright indirect light rather than constant direct sun. Has anyone else found their Monstera was happier in a slightly shadier spot than expected?
