Notes on my Snake Plant

I've had my Sansevieria trifasciata for three years now and I'm finally seeing it push out a flower spike—apparently I've been too generous with water all this time. I moved it to a much drier corner and barely watered it through winter, and now it's rewarding me with those delicate cream-colored blooms. If you've got a snake plant that refuses to flower, try backing off the watering schedule. Mine sits in bright indirect light and seems much happier for the neglect.
