I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm still not sure if I'm watering it right

I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm still not sure if I'm watering it right. The leaves look glossy and healthy, but I read that they're super drought-tolerant and I'm paranoid I'm overwatering. Right now I'm waiting until the soil feels completely dry before I water, which seems to be working so far. Has anyone else struggled with getting the watering schedule down for Zamioculcas zamiifolia? I'd love to hear what's worked for you.
