I've had my snake plant for years and it's basically indestructible, which is both a blessing and a test of my patience. The real trick I've learned is resisting the urge to water it—mine actually thrives on neglect in my mediterranean climate where it barely sees a drink in winter. The one time I nearly killed it was with kindness, overwatering because I felt guilty. Now I let the soil dry out completely between waterings and it's honestly never looked better.
