I've had my Sansevieria trifasciata for about eight months now, and I'm still figuring out the watering sweet spot

I've had my Sansevieria trifasciata for about eight months now, and I'm still figuring out the watering sweet spot. I know they're supposed to be drought-tolerant, but mine's in a cold room where it barely grows, so I'm wondering if that changes things? Does anyone else grow them in cool conditions? I'm hesitant to water on a schedule since I've killed succulents before by being too generous, but I also don't want to underwater. Any advice from others in colder climates?
