I finally figured out why my ZZ plant was looking so dull—I was watering it way too often. Turns out these things are happiest when you basically forget about them. Now I only water when the soil is completely dry, maybe every three weeks, and the new fronds coming in are so vibrant. It's become my favorite low-maintenance plant in the collection because it actually thrives on neglect.
