I finally figured out why my Ficus lyrata kept dropping leaves—it wasn't underwatering like everyone says, but inconsistent light. I moved mine away from the south-facing window where it was getting scorched, and the new growth has been steady for three months. Living in the desert, I assumed it would want all the sun it could get, but even here the afternoon heat was too much. Anyone else finding their lyrata finicky about light placement?
